BEGINNER MOUNTAIN DULCIMER 

Alabama Folk School 

February 20-22, 2026

Whether new to the mountain dulcimer or getting started again, FROM SCRATCH is the weekend for you! During our weekend, you will experience the joy of making music on a mountain dulcimer while learning the basic skills to set you on the right path. Playing the mountain dulcimer is easier than you think…and more fun than you could imagine! Loaner dulcimers will be provided or bring your own!

13th annual New Mexico Dulcimer Festival

October 28-29, 2022

Albuquerque, NM

Returning to a 2-day in-person format, workshops on mountain and hammered dulcimers plus other instruments, concerts, jams, open mics.
